Language Matters Breakfast with Fabrice Jaumont

Language Matters is an ongoing series designed to support GLP’s mission of expanding access to world language education for students in underserved communities.
This event will feature a conversation and book signing with Fabrice Jaumont, author of Unequal Partners: American Foundations and Higher Education Development in Africa and The Bilingual Revolution, the Future of Education is in Two Languages. A native of France, Fabrice Jaumont moved to the United States in 1997. After serving as an education liaison for the French Consulate in Boston and then as assistant principal at the International School of Boston, he moved to New York in 2001. Mr. Jaumont holds a Ph.D. in International Education from New York University, and he is currently the Program Officer for FACE Foundation and the Education Attaché for the Embassy of France to the United States.
TELL Collab 2018
March 16th-17th, all day
TELL Collab NYC is an “un-Conference” that breaks away from the traditional conference model, bringing together world language educators to explore, model, and share effective language learning practices identified by the TELL Framework. This 2-day professional learning experience organized by founders of the TELL Project in collaboration with GLP will include a mixture of collaborative sessions, presentations and resource sharing for both teachers and administrators.

Language Matters is an ongoing series designed to support GLP’s mission of expanding access to world language education for students in underserved communities. The event will feature an acclaimed guest speaker, followed by a moderated discussion. The event brings together business leaders, investors, educational reformers, philanthropists and entrepreneurs for engaging conversations that will address, among other topics, how we can raise children to be global citizens and successful participants in a competitive global workplace.
